cTransition to Direct Deposit for Pension Payments
DMCU is updating our system to provide a more efficient, secure, and convenient experience for our members. As part of this transition, all pension payments will move to direct deposit starting December 1, 2025.
Direct deposit ensures that your funds are delivered quickly and reliably, eliminating delays associated with traditional payroll deductions. This change enhances accessibility while also streamlining operations, allowing us to serve you better. By enrolling in direct deposit, you’ll gain faster access to your funds—anytime, anywhere.
We understand that changes like this can feel overwhelming, and we’re here to help. Please follow these steps to make the required changes.
Step 1: Cancel your current pension deduction(s) with DMCU by completing this form >> Complete form here.
Step 2: Set up your direct deposit by utilizing the following methods provided by RSCD. You can choose the one that is most convenient for you.
- RSCD's IntelliPlan Portal– A quick and easy electronic method. If you choose this method, please see the resources below. Click here to access the portal.
- Paper Form Submission– Print, complete, and have the form notarized before sending it to the City of Detroit. Signatures must be notarized if not witnessed by a Retirement System employee. DMCU offers free notary services to our members. Please note that this process can take up to 14 business days after the City of Detroit receives the completed notarized form in the mail. The address to return the form is located on the top right. Click here to print this form.
Step 3: Set up your payment method for your DMCU loan. See payment methods here. Even more convenient, you can set up an automatic funds transfer (AFT) or ACH distribution once your pension funds are deposited to your savings and checking. This can be done in online banking.
